Hajj Packages from the UK

Comparing Hajj packages from the UK starts with three things: the hotel plan, the time away and the official booking route. Explore shifting and non-shifting formats below, then check the written itinerary before you decide.

Compare Hajj package formats

These are package formats for comparison, not confirmation of a current-season allocation. Check the full programme, final price and availability through the official Hajj booking process before committing.

How to book Hajj from the UK

Hajj is not booked in the same way as an ordinary holiday or an Umrah trip. Current UK government advice says a Hajj place can only be booked through Nusuk Hajj, the official platform overseen by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Use the platform to check the process for your situation, the providers and the packages released for that season. Creating an account, registering interest or talking to Babul Haram Travels does not confirm a Hajj place or permit.

The Hajj packages on this page help you compare trip lengths and hotel options. They do not mean places, flights, hotels or prices are confirmed for a future season, so always check the current programme and written terms before you commit.

Shifting vs non-shifting Hajj: the practical difference

The main difference is where you stay in Makkah. A shifting package includes a planned move to different accommodation, while a non-shifting package usually keeps the same Makkah hotel for the dates in your contract.

Either way, you still travel to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah for the days of Hajj. Those stages are planned separately from your hotel, and the confirmed provider sets out the exact programme.

Our shifting Hajj packages and non-shifting Hajj packages pages list the questions to ask for each one. The best fit depends on your needs, not the label.

Hajj packages from the UK: 14, 21 or 27 days

We list six Hajj packages: 14, 21 and 27 days, each as shifting or non-shifting. The number of days covers the whole trip, not just the days of the main Hajj rites.

A shorter trip may suit limited leave from work, but the order of arrival, the Hajj days and departure still matters. A longer trip spreads your time differently. It does not always mean more nights near the Haram or a better programme.

Check the real departure and return dates, the total nights, the time in Makkah and Madinah, and whether travel days are counted in the headline length. Compare room sharing and meals on the same basis before you compare prices.

How much is Hajj from the UK?

There is no single Hajj price for every traveller or season. How many people share a room, which hotels you use and for how long, meals, flights and the services included all change the total.

Compare like with like. A headline price for a shared room is not comparable with another package's private-room quote. Ask what the price covers, the currency, the payment schedule and the rules for changes or cancellation.

Set money aside for personal spending, travel to your UK airport, insurance and anything not listed as included. Ask whether services such as the Hajj sacrifice, baggage handling or optional visits are part of the package.

  • Named hotels, check-in and check-out dates, and occupancy at each stop.
  • Flight airports, connections, baggage allowances and arrival times.
  • Meals, transfers and the exact Mashair services included.
  • Exclusions, total payable amount and cancellation or amendment terms.

Plan around the people travelling

Tell us about any mobility, room-access or other needs before you choose a format. A nearby hotel or a five-star label does not prove that the whole route is step-free, that a vehicle can stop at the door or that help is included.

For a family or group, check who shares each room and whether that changes between hotels. Ask about the walking involved, timings on transfer days, bag handling and how the group will stay together.

If you would rather fly from London, Manchester or Birmingham, say so when you enquire. We check routes and flights against the actual programme, but a preferred airport is not a confirmed departure.

Next steps before booking Hajj

Check the current official eligibility, document and health requirements for your situation. Rules and deadlines can change between Hajj seasons, so do not rely on an old package sheet or an undated social media post.

Keep your approved itinerary, your provider's contact details and the written terms together. Follow your provider's instructions for the Hajj days, and ask a doctor or a qualified scholar when your own situation needs it.

Our Hajj and Umrah comparison guide explains how the two pilgrimages differ. To talk through Hajj packages from the UK, contact Babul Haram Travels. For your Hajj application or a booking made on the platform, use the official Nusuk Hajj support channels.

Questions answered

Your questions, answered

How do UK pilgrims book a Hajj place?

Current UK government advice says Hajj places are booked through the official Nusuk Hajj platform. Check the process and the packages released for your situation. A planning enquiry with a travel agent is not a reservation.

What is the difference between shifting and non-shifting Hajj?

Shifting usually includes a planned move between places to stay in Makkah. Non-shifting usually keeps the same Makkah hotel for the dates in your contract. Both still include travel to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.

Are the Hajj formats on this website confirmed departures?

No. A package listed here is not a confirmed place or departure for the current season. Check the programme, provider, availability, full price and booking conditions through the official Nusuk Hajj process.

How much does Hajj cost from the UK?

The complete amount depends on the selected season, room occupancy, accommodation, flights and included services. Compare written inclusions and exclusions on the same basis; no single figure applies to every traveller.

Why is Hajj so expensive?

Hajj brings travel, accommodation and pilgrimage-stage services into a concentrated period. The complete price reflects the selected room arrangement, flights, hotel retention and included services. Compare equivalent written offers and exclusions rather than assuming every headline price covers the same journey.

Which is better: shifting or non-shifting Hajj?

Neither is best for everyone. Compare the hotel order, the nights you keep a room, luggage handling, walking and transfers against your needs and budget. The confirmed itinerary matters more than the label.

Does a non-shifting package mean I stay in the hotel throughout Hajj?

No. Non-shifting describes your Makkah hotel plan only. You still travel to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah and stay overnight where the rites require, so check that part of the programme separately.

What do 14, 21 and 27 days describe?

They describe the overall trip formats listed on the website. Read the actual travel dates, hotel-night allocation and transfer plan; the headline duration is not the number of days spent on the central Hajj rites.

Can I request help with mobility or room access?

Yes. Tell us about your needs before you choose a package. The provider must confirm the facilities, transfer access and help available, because a hotel's star rating does not prove it is accessible.

Does registration or an enquiry guarantee acceptance for Hajj?

No. Account creation, registration of interest and an enquiry are separate from official verification, availability and booking confirmation. Follow the current Nusuk Hajj process and retain the confirmations you receive.
